Our Story!

Born in Montreal to an Italian father and a Chilean mother, who were themselves, successful artists and musicians, Sandra Campanelli always knew what her passion was. After teaching all her friends and family how to dance, she knew this was her life purpose.After years of trips to New York, training under the likes of Salsa legends such as Sonny Allen, Eddie Torres, Sandra continued to pursue her career in music and dance. She headed her own band, “Latin Groove,” and thereafter founded her dance school (and passion project), bearing the same name. Her musical journey continued with the release of her first album “Sinceramente Sandra”, which went on to sell thousands of copies in Quebec. Her single “Mamasita” held the #8 spot on the Canadian Billboard Charts for Dance Music / DJ remixes.

Sandra’s songs have been featured in international movies including “Taking Lives” (featuring Angelina Joli, Ethan Hawk, Keifer Sutherland), and the movie “The Last Kiss” (featuring Zach Braff, Casey Affleck, Jacinda Barrett, Rachel Bilson), which features Sandra’s song “El Pilon”. In 2003, Sandra was awarded the prestigious “Estrella Latina” award as well as the “Band of the Year” award in 2004.After many years of experience, knowledge, and challenges, Sandra wanted to follow her dream and share her passion for music and dance, thus Latin Groove came to life. It quickly became one of the best Latin dance schools in Montreal, with thousands of members that are not just part of a community but part of our big Latin Groove family!
