Bachata’s dance steps have four beats per measure. In Bachata the dancer takes three steps to the side ending with a tap. The walking basic is similar, with the dancers walking forward and back rather than side to side. As well as 3 steps to the front and ending with the tap. Like in salsa, there are many types of bachata including, Dominican bachata, sensual bachata, and Urban bachata. Fusions are also becoming very popular with multi-disciplinary and experimental dancers.Bachata with its beautifully executed footwork, playful partner work, sexy body isolations and sensual movements, the only risk of taking our classes is that you will become even more addicted to this beautiful, passionate, sensual, challenging, and very addictive dance and music called BACHATA! Group classes are from 5-20 couples per class and depending on the class and there are 1 – 2 teachers per class as well as assistants to help out. If you don’t know what level you are, come by and one of our teachers will be glad to evaluate you.
